A good sized one room micropub with a raised seating area along the front window and low tables and chairs around the bar area. The décor was beige painted walls, grey tiled floor, panelled timber bar front and scaffold poles used as railing along the raised front section. Five ales on handpump, mainly dark beers, on our visit, so we settled on the Burton Bridge Stairway to Heaven, which was worthy of a second pint. The locals and staff were all welcoming and chatty.
